I’m interested in how complex systems work and why they sometimes don’t.

I’ve spent much of my professional life building and fixing large data systems, mostly out of sight. That work taught me how scale changes everything: how small decisions compound, how brittle systems fail quietly, and how trust is hard to earn and easy to lose.

Over time, the work became less about technology and more about thinking clearly under constraints. How to design for reality instead of theory. How to balance speed with correctness. How to communicate risk, make trade-offs, and leave systems better than you found them.

On Medium, I write about the ideas I keep coming back to: systems and incentives, data and decision-making, technical and non-technical skills, and the lessons that hold up across different kinds of work. I’m interested in what lasts, what breaks, and what’s worth paying attention to.
